That's amazing. How did you implement this physics from scratch?

its been a while, but i think i just looked up some formulas and applied them

but it works great! if it wasn't pico8 i would definitely think it was implemented by a more complex physics engine like box2d. would you be interested in making some tutorials just for physics?

maybe, i wrote an article on the game that explores some of the inner workings here - https://nerdyteachers.com/PICO-8/Pico-View/?issue=14#superworldofgoo

Sorry! I totally forgot to reply to you. Since then I've taken a look at your code and bought a pico8 license and am now trying to make a little game of my own. I've found pico8 to be a great way to prototype games, to experiment with gameplay without having to deal with many of the details that can distract you during development

I played this last night before I went to bed.
It was an absolute joy to play and makes me wanna go back and play the original!~

very fun, due to being made separately and in a simpler form some of the mechanics are slightly different than the OG but the overall gameplay very well matches The World of Goo. Had a blast! unless you struggle a lot Id say its 3-40 mins of gameplay (it took me 40). I loved the music implementation :D
